Tunnel Vision Dream-waking morning,
Titanium skies cloud my mind. Down the street a day is dawning,
With a different angle inclined. In the east see blue and amber,
To the west see gold and rose In the south you see black and white, Where the seed of colour grows. Tunnel vision, we all have a different view. Tunnel vision, but the light is always true. You say we’re so different, I say, acceptance is the key. Don’t we all come from one place, But with great variety, Tunnel vision, tunnel vision, we all have a different view. Tunnel vision, tunnel vision, but the light is always true. Bring your views together, Let all the children come. Like pieces of a jigsaw The views blend into one. Tunnel vision, tunnel vision, we all have a different view. Tunnel vision, tunnel vision, but the light is always true.

Beauty In The Beast Hey you, you’ve broken in two,
Now you’ve reached a fork in the road.
 You cast out the shadows
and turned from the light,
Now you carry a heavy load. You slay your demons and left them for dead,
But you never let them go.
Out of sight but not out of mind
Now you watch their shadows grow. Now you want a rose without a thorn
And a bee without a sting,
But an eye without a storm,
Can’t see the glory the breaking clouds bring. Who will cast the judgement,
between the sinner and the priest?
Look for the beast within the beauty
And the beauty in the beast.
Yeah, the beauty in the beast. Hey you, you’ve woken anew
As the walls of judgement fall.
Your heart is wide open, your mind set free,
Now you’re rising to the call. Now you love the lion for its roar
And the snake for its bite,
For they hold the key to the door,
That let in the light. Who will point the finger,
At those that famine or those that feast?
Look for the beast within the beauty
And the beauty in the beast.
 Who are the righteous,
Those that live for war or fight for peace?
Look for the beast within the beauty
And the beauty in the beast.
Yeah, the beauty in the beast.

Faith 04:42
Faith Wake up you sleepy head.
Open your eyes, see the way ahead.
I know you’re feeling warm and safe.

But blinds need lifting And minds need shifting
And our only guide is our faith. Have you ever held something in your hand So close to the end
like a castle in the sand With the tide creeping in?
Did you want to bring them back from the edge
Like a jumper on the ledge, Doesn’t know they’re sleeping? I’m a woman with love in my heart
So much to give to give, but don’t know where to start
 In a world that’s dying.
I’m a woman with faith in my soul
That we can stop this crazy train if we let go control,
So we can start flying. Just one step for this human nation A leap of faith will be
Our salvation, now I believe, I believe. Have you ever held someone in your heart
So deep in your soul you couldn’t bear to part?
But you feel the tide coming in.
Did you want to bring yourself back from the brink
You know the way ahead you’ll swim or sink?
But you feel it’s summoning you on. I’m a woman with love in my heart
So much to give to give, but don’t know where to start
In a world that’s dying.
I’m a woman with faith in my soul
That we can stop this crazy train if we let go control
 So we can start flying.
Faith keeps my soul from crying.
Faith keeps me strong,
 Keeps me carrying on.

The Cicada 03:58
The Cicada I live, I die.
I fall so I might fly.
 My flames rise high,
Like a rose from a thorn, like a rose from a thorn. I came to rest a while, after the longest mile,
Left behind by the tide while all else was swept aside.
Your branches sheltered me, do you remember me?
Though tired and torn, I bring the dawn. As the sun casts its light upon the evening sky
 My shadow magnifies me
Though I am small my shadow knows eternity
I am all things, I am nothing, I am free.
I am all things, I am nothing, I am free. I am an offering, myself to you I bring.
Like a flower on the tallest bough.
My heart may feel the sting but my soul shall always sing.
I am reborn, I am reborn. As the sun casts its light upon the evening sky
 My shadow magnifies me
Though I am small my shadow knows eternity
I am all things, I am nothing, I am free.
I am all things, I am nothing, I am free.

Sulha (Reconciliation) Take a seat at my table,
Though there’s blood on our hands, We’re like Cain and Abel.
We’ll break bread, not our mothers’ hearts.
Are we living by the grave or by the cradle? Sulha, sulha, take a drink with me.
Sulha, sulha, a cup of coffee.
Sulha, sulha, take a drink with me
Sulha, sulha, a cup or three? How should we take our tea?
With a drop of remorse and a lump in our throat. How should we take our coffee?
We’ll keep the dream afloat till we believe in: Sulha, sulha, take a drink with me.
Sulha, sulha, a cup of coffee.
Sulha, sulha, take a drink with me
Sulha, sulha, a cup or three?

And be free of all the rage and all the fear.
And be free, take some time to shed a tear.
And the pain will dissolve like sugar. Sulha, sulha, take a drink with me.
etc. We’re tying ourselves up in knots inside
We can’t eat, we can’t sleep, we’re like suicide.
We’re banging our heads up against the wall,
Just remove one brick and watch it fall,
It’s our call, one and all, for: Sulha, sulha, take a drink with me.
etc.

Heaven in my Eyes The caravan is journeying through deserts in my mind,
Sowing seeds along the path.
When it’s at its journey’s end, I know that I’ll find
An oasis in my heart. One by one, the buds begin to bloom.
Step by step, my heart can beat in tune. There are many rooms within the mansion of my mind
Yet I haven’t climbed the stair.
When I reach those storeys high I’ll throw back the blinds
I know I’ll find you waiting for me there. Step by step, you light up my way.
One by one, you turn my nights to day. Heaven is in my eyes, now I’m standing before you.
Heaven is in my eyes, I’m finding new ways to adore you,
Reassure you, applaud you. You are like my golden cup which I can fill with love,
 For we are eternally bound.
You are my olive branch and I am your dove.
If you’ll be my king I’ll be your crown. Heaven is in my eyes, now I’m standing before you.
Heaven is in my eyes, I’m finding new ways to adore you,
Reassure you, applaud you, Adore you.

Forgiving 05:17
Forgiving ‘I forgive you’ she said, for they know not what they’ve done.
‘I forgive you’. Though they hold the smoking gun.
She looked up and smiled though she was grieving for her child
I forgive you. Who’s the winner, when they cry out for their blood?
Who’s the winner, when the stream becomes the flood?
Those that have no claim cry for justice, in whose name?
There are no winners. There are those who find deep within their hearts
A wholeness which we’re all a part.
We’re brothers and sisters that we can embrace.
Would you cut off your nose to spite your face
Hold your hands up for peace.
It’s a human race. I forgive you. It’s not an easy thing to say.
If you forgive me then we both can find our way.
It’s a universal chime crying for the time
For forgiving. There are those who find deep within their hearts
A rose bud opening and that’s just the start.
We’re brothers and sisters and we all are one.
If you find you’re reaching for the gun
Hold your hands up for peace
Reach for the sun. Reach for the sun.

I’ll Meet You There There’s a field, beyond right and wrong
Where there is peace and song.
I’ll meet you there. There’s a field, where the Earth meets the sky,
Where you and I Can find love for free, unconditionally. And we’ll weep, until the rivers run deep.
As we cry, our healing hearts touch the sky. There’s a field, beyond right and wrong
Where we all belong.
I’ll meet you there. I’ll meet you there.

about

Featuring Vicki Burke on harp and vocals, Mike Hoddinott on drums, Helen Seymour on bass, Anders Olinder on keys and Gina Griffin on violin.

Like my first album, the songs are an invitation for the listener to accompany me on a pilgrimage. They are accompanied by a spoken word journey which explores my understanding of humanity. This has forced me to re-evaluate our story beginning in the Garden of Eden. I have started from my personal vantage point, as a Jew who is on a spiritual journey, mirroring my life story with the past seven years I have spent living in Frome,
I hope to show that this dark path that we are on, living in a state of separation, disconnected from each other and from our Mother Earth, is a circular journey and that we are on our way home. Traveling on this bumpy ride through the shadow of our psyche, I became aware of the imbalance that we have chosen to explore as we have leaned into the dominant masculine aspects of ourselves and our culture. This pilgrimage to rediscover the divine feminine, that resides within us all, has shown me that this can only be done by facing our Minotaur, the beast within, and in doing so, we can begin to gain to a broader view of our universe. This may encourage us to reconnect to a way of life that is beyond judgement and beyond fear; a return to love.
